Gelacio Sanchez won an "Ozkar" for Best Overall Digital Story in the ESL Digital Storytelling class for the Summer 2009 term. His story, "Overcoming Obstacles in My Life," recounts his modest upbringing in Oaxaca, Mexico, and tells how he came to live and work in the U.S.A. in his youth, and celebrates how far he has come. Gelacio's advice: Work hard and stay positive, and you can overcome any obstacle that comes your way.
